KNOW Mountainview

Let's get one thing straight... Our first goal at Mountainview Christian is to help people know Jesus Christ. This is our primary goal - always.

KNOW Mountainview is an opportunity for visitors to get to know Mountainview, our staff and our mission.  It's also an opportunity for us to get to know you! This is the First Step entry point for anyone who wants to become a member of Mountainview.

Our next KNOW Mountainview class will be Sunday, May 21st.

Baptism

We believe in water baptism.

One of the steps of belonging to Jesus (being saved) is being baptized.

Many have tried to minimize the importance of being immersed (baptized) in water,

but their efforts haven't succeeded in changing even one word of scripture...

Why Be Baptized?

According to the Apostle Peter, we need to "Repent and be baptized every one of you,

in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven."*

Throughout the Book of Acts, there are a total of eleven instances of people

coming to Jesus...all included baptism.

*Acts 2:38

Is Baptism all that's needed to be saved?

No. Salvation starts with believing in Jesus (having faith), repenting (turning from sin),

and confessing allegiance to Jesus as Lord (Ruler, Leader).

Baptism then becomes the re-enactment  of Jesus' death, burial and resurrection.

When should I be baptized?

There is no wrong time. At Mountainview, a person may be baptized

at any Sunday gathering, and we offer special Baptism Sundays several times each year.
